Panik Atak Nedir?

Beynimizde bizi hayatta tutmaya ve tehlikelerden korumaya yarayan bir alarm merkezi vardır. Panik atak bir nevi bu merkezin bozulmasıdır. Yani diğer bir deyişle; araba alarmının kediye çalmasıdır.

Ayrıca hayat kalitesini ciddi derecede bozan ve tedavi edilmediği sürece devam eden bir psikolojik/psikiyatrik hastalıktır. (bir anksiyete (kaygı) bozukluğu).

Panik atak; kalp çarpıntısı, nefes nefese kalma (hiper ventilasyon), boğuluyormuş gibi olma, soluğun kesilmesi, göğüste sıkışma, nabız yükselmesi, baş dönmesi, terleme, titreme gibi yoğun fiziksel belirtilerin bazılarının, yineleyen ve beklenmedik şekilde yaşandığı yoğun korku ve rahatsızlık duyma halidir.

Panik Atak Oluşma Sebepleri

  • Zayıf beslenme alışkanlıkları, düzensiz beslenme ve katı diyetler sonucunda ortaya çıkabilecek değişken kan şekeri düzeyi atakları tetikleyebilir.
  • Aşırı sık nefes alıp verme panik belirtilerini başlatır. Stres altındayken nefes farkına varmadan sıklaşır.
  • Sindirim sorunları ve besin alerjileri paniğe sebep olabilir.
  • Antidepresan ilaçlar özellikle kullanımına başlanan ilk hafta panik atakları ortaya çıkarabilir.
  • Kafein, sigara, alkol ve bazı uyuşturucular (LSD, esrar ve kokain gibi) panik ataklara sebep olabilirler.
  • Sakinleştirici etkisi olan herhangi bir ilacı ani olarak bırakmak panik atağın ortaya çıkmasına yol açabilir.
  • Amfetamin, kortizon ve astım tedavisinde kullanılan bazı ilaçlar da panik atakları tetikleyebilir.
  • Denge, koordinasyon, işitme ve görme zorlukları kişinin stres düzeyini artırarak panik ve agorafobiyi tetikleyebilir.
  • Bedensel ağrılar panik atağı tetikleyebilir.

Panik Atak Tedavisi

Panik bozukluğu tedavisi mümkün olan bir hastalıktır. Psikiyatri uzmanına başvurarak yardım alabilirsiniz. İlaç tedavileri panik bozukluğu tedavisinin temelini oluşturmaktadır. Panik bozukluğu, erken dönemde saptanıp tedavi edilmediği durumda hastada depresyona ve alkol ya da uyuşturucu madde kullanımına yol açabilir. Hastalığın tedavisinde ilaçlar ve psikoterapi tekniklerinden yararlanılır. Panik Bozukluğunun tedavisinde stres kontrolünün sağlanması önemli bir aşamadır. Merkezimizde bu amaçla geliştirilen Neurobiofeedback tekniği (kendi beyin dalgalarını görerek stresini kontrol etmeyi öğrenme) kullanılmaktadır.
